What is A Despacho
(ayni Pukara)
Across Indigenous cultures of the world, the Equinox is revered as a sacred threshold—a luminous pause in time when light and darkness stand in perfect harmony. For our ancestors, this balance was not only observed in the heavens; it was embodied in the land, in the body, and within the rhythm of community. The Equinox marked a moment to return to center, to recalibrate, and to renew our relationship with life itself.
We invite you to gather with us in ceremony to honor this powerful passage through an Equinox Recalibration Ritual and a sacred offering known today as the Despacho—originally called Ayni Pukara in our native Andean language, meaning “the altar of reciprocity.” This ancient practice is prayer made visible: a living mandala through which we express gratitude, release what no longer serves, and restore harmony with Pachamama and the unseen realms.

Ceremony Preparation
This is a ceremonial gathering held without plant medicine. It is a gentle, grounded, and inclusive space—open to all—where we come together in reverence, presence, and prayer. The ceremony is guided by ancestral wisdom and traditional Andean practices, creating a safe and supportive container for reflection, realignment, and renewal, and most importantly, GIVING BACK TO PACHAMAMA.
No prior experience is needed; you are invited simply as you are, with an open heart and a willingness to listen.

During our time together, we will be guided through a sequence of sacred practices that mirror the harmony of the Equinox:
-
We will enter an Equinox Recalibration Ritual, a ceremonial moment to restore balance within the body, heart, and spirit, aligning our inner landscape with the cosmic equilibrium of this day.
-
Together, we will create an Ayni Pukara (Despacho)—a living mandala and prayer in form—offering gratitude, intentions, and blessings in sacred reciprocity with Pachamama and the unseen realms.
-
Each participant will receive a Limpia Energética, a traditional cleansing ritual that gently clears stagnant or heavy energies, inviting lightness, clarity, and renewal.
-
We will conclude by setting intentions attuned to the balance and rebirth of the Equinox, planting seeds for the cycle ahead with conscious awareness.

This gathering is an invitation to remember balance—not as an abstract concept, but as a lived, embodied experience. Through prayer, sound, and sacred offerings, we return to harmony with the Earth and with ourselves, welcoming the new cycle with clarity, reverence, and grace.
Come as you are. Bring what you are ready to release, and what you are prepared to welcome.
DIET Before and after CEREMONY

To support the beauty and intention of our shared altar, we invite each participant to bring the following:
-
Fresh flowers – to contribute to the living mandala of the Ayni Pucara
-
A crystal or sacred stone – something meaningful to you, which will be placed in the mandala and later buried in the Earth as an offering
-
A plant-based snack to share – offered in the spirit of community, to enjoy together after the ceremony closes
Each item you bring becomes part of the prayer. They carry your energy, your gratitude, and your intentions, weaving them into the collective offering we return to the land.

I had no idea what to expect on my trip to Peru with Willkasara but what I experienced was far beyond what I could have imagined. Not only did I experience the beauty of the land, the sweetness of the people, the amazing local cuisine, the rich history of the place but what was really amazing was what I experience inside of myself. The sacred land & the wisdom of the Inca became alive in me through the amazing ceremonies & powerful guidance of our guides. Our guides didn't only show us & tour us through the ancient ruins but they gave us the experience of the ancient people. What I experienced was beyond amazing. It was the experience of joy, happiness, love, peace of mind, connection, clarity of thought, wisdom, simply said mind-blowing. If you've never been to Peru you are missing out & I would not experience Peru with anyone else. Willkasara is the only group I know that can give you the spirit & feeling of Peru beyond being a tourist. In Peru I became an experiencist. Wachan, Martika, Shiqwarkenty you were our guides & now you are our family. Thank you Thank you Thank you... Forever in gratitude for the incredible people you are...
